This deal platform is a tool that publishers can offer merchants in lieu of or along with traditional advertising packages printed in a newspaper. Ongoing deals, daily deals and merchant profiles are integrated into a playful app.
While working with ForkFly, I freshened up and standardized the brand, redesigned their iOS app, and then restructured it for Android devices. We were working on a loyalty-based feature to be released in a future version, so I kept that in mind during this stage of the product design, ideally setting up an architecture that could handle an additional level of complexity.
I enjoyed the challenge of tackling the merchant and publisher online administrative tools. A high priority for merchants is to see revenue, loyal customers and popular days and times of deal redemptions. Not only are they able to create live deals, but they can set up a queue to avoid downtime. Publishers can approve and schedule daily deals, manage new merchant sign-ups and see the sales team's activity.
