Role: User experience, Interactive design
Eaton is a global company that deals with power management. They get things operating smoothly, safely and efficiently. I was the lead digital designer for two touchscreen interactives that were installed at their executive briefing center in Pittsburgh.
In the main interactive screen at Eaton’s Executive Briefing Center, a user explores different cause-and-effect situations through an interactive city. Animated problems are presented followed by solutions showing specific products and services involved. A digital catalog is accessible, offering access to everything Eaton has to offer. The smaller screens focus on the other aspects of the company, such as the global or sustainable areas. My favorite interactive dives into different floors of a model building where the center actually exists. Bits of information and real time data are shown. For example, in a detailed view of a transformer, energy savings is described in terms of cups of brewed coffee or CO2 saved in terms of tress planted.
